Key IndicatorsSome problem behaviors may include: Residential Treatment CenterValle Vista Health System’s Residential Treatment Center is an intensive mental health treatment program for children and adolescents, age 6 through 18 with severe emotional and behavioral disorders who cannot be managed is a less structured environment. Each youth is thoroughly assessed and an individualized treatment plan is designed to assist the child or adolescent develop the behaviors that will enable him/her to return to a home setting as soon as possible. During the residential stay, highly trained residential staff focus on treating a variety of behavioral and/or emotional problems, such as aggressive behaviors, self –harming behaviors, destructive behaviors, attachment issues, non-compliance, relationship building, social skills, anger control and self-esteem building. Services provided include: An interdisciplinary team of highly trained staff work with the residents. Licensed therapists, board certified psychiatrists, registered nurses, certified teaching staff and mental health technicians comprise the clinical team.
