Kathryn “Kate” Settles, RN, MSN, PMHNP-BC is a
licensed and Board-Certified Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner.
Kate earned her Bachelor’s Degree from Indiana University
School of Nursing and her Master’s Degree in Child and Adolescent
Psychiatric/Mental Health Nursing from Indiana University, where
she currently serves as an adjunct professor of Nursing. Prior to
joining Valle Vista Health System, Kate worked as a psychiatric
nurse practitioner in many different settings including:
residential, outpatient and acute inpatient. She has worked
with children, adolescents, and adults. Kate provides specialized
care for a broad range of diagnoses and has a special interest in
the Children and Adolescent population.
Hugh Hanlin, Ph.D., HSPP is a licensed Clinical
Psychologist and is a member of the American Psychological
Association, Society for Personality Assessment, and Association
for the Treatment of Sexual Abusers. Hugh earned his Bachelor’s
Degree in Sociology from Indiana University and his Bachelor’s
Degree in Psychology from Purdue University. He received his
M.A. and Ph.D. from Indiana State University and completed his
Clinical Psychology internship at the Devereux Foundation in Devon,
Pennsylvania. Dr. Hanlin has extensive experience working with
adolescents with mental health and substance abuse issues and their
families. His areas of specialty include sexually maladaptive
youth and working with the juvenile justice system. Dr.
Hanlin provides psychological evaluations and testing for the
Residential Treatment Program. In addition he participates as
an active member of the treatment team, and provides direct patient
care services as indicated. Prior to joining Valle Vista
Health System, Dr. Hanlin worked as Clinical Director for a
Residential Treatment Center.
