Sherri Jewett, Valle Vista
Health System CEO
Sherri Jewett was named Valle Vista Health System's Chief
Executive Officer in August of 2011. She came to Valle Vista from
Horizon Health where she built up 19 years of executive level
experience, most recently as Vice President of Operations. She has
previous CEO experience and extensive knowledge of the behavioral
health field.
Jewett has a strong record of business growth, meeting clinical
and operational goals, exceeding patient and referral source
expectations, and outstanding regulatory compliance. She holds a
Master's Degree in Hospital Administration/Public Health from the
University of Missouri-Columbia and Bachelor's in Business
Administration from Southwest Baptist University (Missouri).
Jennifer Comer, M.D.
Medical Director
As the hospital’s Medical Director Dr. Comer oversees the
facility’s quality of care. She previously served as a staff
physician at Valle Vista. Prior to joining Valle Vista, Comer
served as the chief resident of psychiatry at the Indiana
University School of Medicine in Indianapolis. Comer received her
medical degree from Indiana University School of Medicine in
Indianapolis and completed her fellowship in child and adolescent
psychiatry in 2007. She is board certified in adult, child and
adolescent psychiatry. Her leadership skills have been recognized
through the many honors and awards she has received, as well as her
involvement with the American Medical Association, American
Psychiatric Association and the American Academy of Child and
Adolescent Psychiatry.
James Gaither, M.D.
Clinical Director of Addiction Services
Dr. Gaither joined Valle Vista in January of 2003. James M.
Gaither, M.D. practices Internal Medicine, Sleep Medicine and
Addiction Medicine in Indianapolis, Indiana. A graduate of the
University of Notre Dame and Indiana University School of Medicine,
he is Board Certified in Internal Medicine, Pulmonary Medicine,
Sleep Medicine and Addiction Medicine and has practiced in the
Indianapolis area since 1986. He currently specializes in Addiction
Medicine, providing services to Fairbanks Hospital and Valle Vista
Health System.He practices Sleep Medicine at Meridian Health Group,
a multispecialty pain management practice. He serves on the Board
of Directors of Progress House (Emeritus status) and is the past
president of the Dove Recovery House for Women and of Esther’s
Place, a resource center for women entering recovery from drugs and
alcohol. He is active in the Indiana Society of Addiction Medicine
and he actively promotes awareness of the need for treatment of
both sleep and addiction disorders, speaking on the national, state
and local levels.
Sajal Bose, M.D.
Clinical Director of Outpatient Services
Dr. Bose joined Valle Vista in April 1999. He received his medical
degree from Lucknow Christian College in India and completed
residency at the University Of Louisville School Of Medicine. He
has since served as Medical Director for Psychiatry Services at
Seven Counties, Captain of Medical Corp, U.S. Army Reserves and a
consulting psychiatrist for Life Spring Mental Health Center and
Central State Hospital.
Vikram Patel, M.D.
Dr. Patel started at Valle Vista in August of 1999. He received
his medical degree from the B.J. Medical College in Ahmedabad,
India. He is board certified in psychiatry, neurology, and
geriatrics. He is a member of the American Psychiatric Association
and Indiana Medical association.
